My so beloved wildcard

Ladies! How did you weekend went? Hope you are all OK and full with new outfit pics to show!
Today I decided to create a new section of this blog: The Wildcards, I guess that all my readers as fashionistas are familiar with the concept of a wildcard. There are classic wildcards (LBD, Blazer, Nude Pumps, Pearly white shirts, etc) and personal wildcards, those that you cannot imagine living without , and these are the  type of wildcards I will be showing in this section.

My first wildcard is the BLACK LEATHER JACKET. Let's be honest ladies ... I dare you to find something that doesn't fit with a black leather jacket. Floral dresses, leather leggings, jeans, shorts, skirts, anything goes!

Designers love them, celebrities love them, no matter where or when the biker or rocker look always fits! I have even wore this jacket with night gowns!

As for me, Im an ecologist, so I do not use fur or leather. So my beloved jacket is made of ecological leather. I live in a city with beaches, but most of the time is cold and windy, so this jacket becomes my best friend during winter, night or day , I would totally freeze without it.

As I was wearing abold black shirt I decided to wear my silver necklace, this is just a simple daily look, nothing too fancy ... a red nail polish always works to light up a widow-ish look lol , and please notice that I was wearing curls!! Yeah, I often wear my natural curls even tough they are quite hard to control ....

                                        


So, what happens when the sun goes down and you live in a freezin city like mine? (Yeah ... I dont call it a wildcard for nothin people!) In this particular night, I wore one of my favorite items for nightime: Liquid Leather Leggings, yeah .... edgy! but if you wear them carefully u can be safe from the whole slutty thing that sorrounds this fashion trend (specially in south america) Im telling you, this leggings deserve a whole post!!

This beautiful blouse ( yeah, you can't notice the shape of it with the jacket on, but Im gonna show it to you guys in some other post) was designed by me and made with the help of my lovely grandma Lili <3. The gold tiara Im wearing .... well that was quite a find! I went to a little shop that sells accesories , and there it was, really cheap, no one liked it! but I instantly loved it! Once i wore it, everyone kept tellin me how good it looked! It has little leaves kind of helenistic ....

Music is my Aeroplane

Most of the teenagers goes thru that fase where you wear all black and nothing but band tees. Well ... if u were one of those, you better start looking for those old shirts in ur closet because it has become the latest trend in the streetwear fashion. Models, actresses and singers have been spotted all around the world wearin shirts of band iconic bands like Joy Division, Rolling Stones, The Police, Guns n Roses, etc ...

The perfect combination for the band tee is the leather jacket, no doubt about it, but if you are more naif and u don't want to go to the edge of punk rocker, jean jackets or plaid shirts can become a good choice. As for myself, I was one of those teenagers, i used to wear studs, black, green and pink hair and tons of black eyeliner, so I happen to have a lot of band shirts...

I have also experimented with the band tee + black/ flower skirt (could be high waisted) and it turned out to look great with the right accesories.
This shirts have not only become a perfect card for daytime but also por partying! combined with the perfected outfit it can become a total hit. You don't believe me? Check this out ....

I created this look, for a relaxed night out with friends, drinks and stuff, nothing too fancy. I choose a white t shirt (mostly to avoid the total black look that would make me look a bit too punk rock) the band is the Red Hot Chili Peppers, one of my favorites of all times, and this is how the night look turned out ...

As for daytime, I combined the same tee with the same clutch, plus a leopard printed scarf used as a headband and some jeans I ripped (DIY soon!) and a jean jacket ...

Born in the USA

Like Bruce Springsteen used to sing, it seems like everybody was Born in the USA nowadays! The USA flag print is here to stay, at least for this season. This print can be found in purses, shirts, shorts, shoes, boots, skirts and whatever u can imagine, lately we have seen the gorgeous Kate Bosworth rockin this trend in the Glastonbury, while those who were teens in the 80's can remember Springsteen or Lauper produly wearing their USA flag ....

          

But lately, the British Flag has also make a revival, and those readers who are my age will actually remember Ginger Spice wearing those tight dresses with the british flag printed on them. Well ... I would wear that kind of dress, but I do have a bit of Britain in my wardrobe , designer labels like Alexander McQueen, have adopted this trend for almost every accesory they are able to produce! Here are some of my favorites ....

The little satchel with the skull is from Alexander Mc Queen's collection, I absolutely fell for it! even though Im not a skull person. 

As regards my own wardrobe, I wasnt able to find any of this trends back when they jsut pumped into the fashion system this year, it took me weeks to actually find a t shirt with a flag! Hopefully I got two of them, one with the USA flag and one with the British flag, Im wearing them with the liquid leather leggins in both of the pictures because it was winter time and it was quite cold , but I do combine them with jeans, shorts or high waited skirts.

Nude Pumps

Se instalaron hace unos años bajo la tutela de Christian Laboutin, y de ahí despegaron. Versátiles y favorecedores para las que no contamos con las piernas de Giselle Bundchen, ya que estilizan. Incluso se han llegado a tomar como los sucesores de los clásicos stilettos negros, ya que combinan con infinidad de atuendos. Cerrados, peep toe o guillerminas, este color llegó para quedarse. Yo por mi parte conseguí los míos a un muy buen precio en un localcito del centro, y creanme que me costó muchisimo encontrar unos que realmente me gusten (la relación plataforma-taco por ejemplo fue un problema) y que el color sea un color nude - maquillaje que no contraste demasiado con mi bronceado caribe natural (nótese el sarcasmo ya que soy pálida a lo Morticia). Les dejo unas fotitos de distintos modelos y de los míos que usé para un casamiento hace unos días. Espero sus comentarios, fotos y opiniones!!

This shoes were brought by Christian Laboutin a few years ago and instantly became a sensation. Versatile, they make miracles with girls that haven´t got Giselle Bundchen's legs and need a little help. They have even replaced the black mitical stilettos. Peep toe or Janes this color has came here to stay!. I found my pumps in a little shop downtown at a very cheap price, and believe me, it was quite hard to find a pair of shoes that actually fit and that the color doesn't contrast with my skin color ( quite Mortician actually lol). Well, here you have some pics of different styles of nude shoes and finally my pair which I wore a few days ago for a Wedding. I hope to hear your experiences soon!
